Crime in Chichester East, Chichester

The Neighbourhood Policing Team continues to carryout regular patrols, focusing on areas where reports of ASB have been made, including around Chichester Gate.
We work closely with partner agencies to tackle this type of behaviour, identify those responsible, and manage persistent offenders and locations. We also continue to carry out intervention work with local schools and youth groups through our dedicated youth officers, to divert any young people who may be involved away from this pattern of behaviour.

Patrols of the local roads, footpaths and fields will continue, particularly where access routes in and out of the city are used, in order to deter illegal use of these bikes. Ongoing work to increase awareness on the topic is taking place and intelligence gathering to identify and disrupt those individuals’ using bikes in the commission of crime continues.
